Cycle of Higher Urban and Territorial Studies

Integration into globalization, ecological transition, social and territorial cohesion, and resilience in the face of crises are all issues that metropolises and regions are currently focusing on. Since 2014, AVITEM, in partnership with the French Development Agency and the Center for Mediterranean Integration, has been offering an annual cycle of Advanced Urban and Territorial Studies. Each year, they allow a class of auditors to approach the territorial transition project through an immersive and collective methodology.

Each year, these seminars bring together about 25 participants, elected officials, public and private land-use planning executives, researchers and civil society actors from many countries around the Mediterranean (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, Albania, Italy, France, Spain). Around webinars, in response to the constraints imposed by the health conditions, or in immersion in large Mediterranean metropolises, these one-week meetings are always designed in collaboration with the local actors of the study territories to better understand the contexts of change of the territories, to allow the actors to share references of innovative, relevant and effective action while confirming a strategic and integrated approach of the project

Applications for the 2022 cycle of the Hautes Études Urbaines et Territoriales are open !

For this 9th edition, the Cycle of Metropolitan Seminars co-organized by AVITEM and its partners the AFD and the CMI is recruiting its next class of auditors.
