Biography

Marianne Martin has conducted research on informal housing in Latin America. As part of her master’s degree in political science at the Ecole Doctorale de Sciences Po Paris, as well as in academic articles, she studied the social organization of these informal settlements and the public policies implemented in their regard. After an experience in a consulting firm specialized in housing and social policies in France, Marianne has been involved in local development policies and the City Policy, becoming a coordinator in a large association in the Ile-de-France region. She was then responsible for socio-professional integration projects and theThe project is a participatory development of an urban agriculture space in Seine-Saint-Denis (93). Passionate about urban issues in developing countries and by the city through the lens of the ecological and solidarity transition, she joined AVITEM in 2021 as a project manager in the Expertise and Training divisions. In particular, it contributes to the decentralized cooperation mission coordinated by AVITEM with the Southern Region and the Municipality of Bourj Hammoud, in Lebanon; to a project management assistance mission in Tunis, Tunisia; and to the Erasmus + MELIMED research project.
