Strengthening Repair and Reuse Sectors
The REPper project focuses on three key levers to develop a circular and sustainable economy:
Structuring the Offer
- Creation of a transnational network of sectors dedicated to repair and reuse.
- Support for project leaders: technical and financial assistance for SMEs and innovative start-ups.
Training Stakeholders
- Targeted training for trainers and repair professionals at regional and European levels.
- Upskilling and reskilling programs to meet the needs of green jobs.
Stimulating Demand
- Awareness and education for users.
- Behavioral approaches to establish new circular habits (e.g., right to repair, incentives).

- Rethinking business models: Integrate repair from the design stage (eco-design, durability).
- Agility of SMEs: They play a key role in innovation due to their ability to make quick decisions.

Strengthening Green Skills
- Revolutionizing professions: New technical skills (materials, logistics, technologies) and cross-cutting skills (problem-solving, critical thinking).
- Adapted training: Regional and European programs for trainers and repair professionals.
- Capacity building at all levels of the value chain.
Making Repair Attractive for Consumers
- Mindset shift: The COVID-19 crisis accelerated awareness.
- Public policies: Favorable guidelines and frameworks (e.g., right to repair).
- Civil society: Promotion of circular choices through awareness campaigns.
- Facilitating access: Sustainable choices must be the easiest and most visible.
The projet in brief
Repairing, reusing, re-employing and recycling are fast-growing sectors with proven socio-economic and environmental potential, in a national and European regulatory context that encourages the development of the circular economy.
The projet brings together 10 partners in Italy, France, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia, Albania, Spain, Greece, Portugal.
