Your week’s programme, day by day:
DAY 1: Structures and dynamics of metropolitan development
From the historical, geographical, and institutional context of the metropolis’ development to the current vision of the Città Metropolitana di Bologna project.
Focus on: the mobility structures and polycentrism organisation.
DAY 2: Social cohesion and attractiveness
How has the delicate balance between attractiveness and social cohesion been achieved?
Focus on: housing policy, public service management, and tourism.
DAY 3: Bologna, a resilient metropolis?
Insights from local stakeholders on the concept of resilience.
Focus on: resource-efficient management, urban heat challenges, and new ecological productivity.
DAY 4: Governance, co-production, and co-decision—an overview of the dynamics at play
Focus on inter-institutional dialogue (municipality, metropolitan area, region, state), the voices of civil society and residents, and financial planning tools.
