Study Trips in Mediterranean Metropolises
Study trips for urban planning and territorial development professionals: understanding the dynamics of Mediterranean metropolises and exploring their urban projects.
Strengthen your multidisciplinary approach to territorial transformation.
A one-week immersion in a territory, meeting local stakeholders and exploring their projects.
You will meet territorial decision-makers: institutional (mayors), operational (urban planning agencies and project developers), as well as specialists in mobility, energy, risk management, or urban renewal, depending on the specific characteristics of each territory.
The goal of these study trips is to share examples of effective actions, to understand actor systems and governance models. New imperatives—climate change, the evolving relationship between urban and rural areas, global health, social and territorial cohesion—are at the core of our seminars.
Enrich your institutional and professional network in the Mediterranean.
Join a group of around thirty planning professionals to exchange perspectives on territorial transformation, action processes, and thereby enhance your know-how and project references.
Get inspired, exchange ideas, and meet local decision-makers and experts through site visits, collective workshops, and round tables.
A long-standing partnership
Since 2014, the seminars have been organized by AVITEM, in partnership with Campus AFD Group, the training center of the French Development Agency, and co-financed by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. They have brought together more than 500 territorial experts in metropolises across the three shores of the Mediterranean. A time for co-producing knowledge among peers, committed actors for sustainable urban and territorial development.
